01 · Executive summary

Two jobs, two scorecards

Footfall bought directions taps and engagement bought interactions — neither is judged on the other's metric.

Across October, RM11,559 ran across three campaigns split into two objectives, and each is measured on the metric for its job. The store-footfall campaign spent RM8,215 to reach 1,509,178 accounts and drive 11,977 directions taps at RM0.69 each. Two new creative sets went live this month — the Chef Fazley collab from 2 October and a Bahasa Malaysia set from 16 October — and 1 Utama came back into the plan. The two engagement campaigns spent RM3,344 for 610,526 interactions at 0.55 sen each.
Versus September:  footfall budget rose 28% (RM8,215 vs RM6,415) and directions taps rose 23% (11,977 vs 9,765), so cost per tap moved only from RM0.66 to RM0.69 while the campaign scaled. Footfall reach grew from 1,164,800 to 1,509,178 at the same CPM (RM1.34 vs RM1.35). Engagement held at 0.55 sen per interaction, the same as September. Total media was RM11,559 vs RM10,491; September's figure included a RM786 RM9.90 voucher promo that did not run in October.

How the new sets did:  the Chef Fazley collab was the cheapest set at RM0.64 per directions tap. The Bahasa Malaysia set came in at RM0.68, but it ran for only 16 days, so a 4-sen gap between the two is not a verdict yet. The clearer finding is that both new sets beat the original July sets (RM0.79 combined; RM0.72–RM0.84 by store) — fresh creative is keeping footfall cost down as the budget grows. 1 Utama returned through the Bahasa Malaysia set with 591 directions taps at RM0.65 each in its first two weeks.

The two busiest — Chef Fazley · still 07 (704 taps at RM0.63) and Chef Fazley · still 10 (665 taps at RM0.55) — carried 37% of the set's taps. The green figure is the creative's cheapest cost per tap across the three stores.

Stills do the footfall work again:  the 18 Bahasa Malaysia stills drove directions taps at RM0.34–RM0.62 each. Of the 10 reels, only 2 drew enough taps to price (RM1.80 and RM4.15 per tap); the rest drew three taps or fewer. Across every footfall creative in October, stills cost RM0.31–RM0.73 per tap and reels RM1.80–RM11.44 — the same pattern as July and September. For a "get directions" job, a clear still of the food wins; reels belong where they are judged on views and engagement. "REEL" marks a video creative; a grey figure means too few taps for a stable cost read.

Fresh stills let footfall scale

Both objectives stayed efficient on their own scorecards while the footfall budget grew.

Engagement — cost / engagement

Bottom line:  RM11,559 → 11,977 store-directions taps at RM0.69 each and 610,526 engagements at 0.55 sen each. Footfall took 28% more budget and returned 23% more taps, with the new stills cheaper than the original July sets. Walk-ins are tracked store-side. Each objective is efficient on its own scorecard.
